Sacred life: Mindfulness and transforming anger
I spent my early morning here - watching and thinking about this Ram Dass interview with Thicht Nhat Hanh. I wanted to pull out a quotation, but it's the whole thing that speaks to me. Exactly what I needed, exactly when I needed it.

Thank you so much for this.

Thanks for sharing this powerful and timely message. Ram Dass and Thich Nhat Hanh (two of my favorite people together) and the topic today -- perfect. I'll give this post a mention later today when I post at Small Reflections and I've added a sidebar link at Sacred Ruminations so I (and others) can return to be reminded as needed.
Hugs and blessings,

I saw this post yesterday and smiled when I saw "Ram Dass" since I used to read him decades ago. But then I saw the word "mindfulness" and thought: oh, I'll watch it later. I wasn't ready to SLOW DOWN and LISTEN. Because I was too busy having my own Sacred Life Sunday that I'd posted would be about quiet, alone time. Just clearly not quiet, alone time that included SLOWING DOWN and LISTENING. ;)
I believe it's physically impossible to be IN anger while also doing any real breathing...at least for me it is. Watching this reminded me of what anger does to my throat (chakra?). When I'm finished with an angry vent, I almost always have a scratchy throat and loss of voice. Loss of VOICE...how ironic.

New to your blog and happy to have discovered you here.
Thanks for this great link to the video. It was just the reminder I was needing today.
